What your package includes
With fantastic views over both the City of Edinburgh and Edinburgh Castle, The Royal Gallery is a unique venue set above the Edinburgh Castle Esplanade. Built especially for our August event, The Royal Gallery offers a great start to your Tattoo evening, to relax and enjoy a delicious three-course dinner before the Tattoo performance begins. Self-confessed food fanatics, the team at award-winning Heritage Portfolio combine passion, creativity and culinary expertise to produce exquisite dishes packed with flavour using local, seasonal ingredients.
Following dinner, you will take your seats in The Royal Gallery section of the arena where you will join the evening’s Salute Taker, fellow Tattoo guests and dignitaries.

Please note, The Royal Gallery dress code is Dress Uniform, National Dress, Evening Dress, or Business Attire. Jeans, short trousers, and sport shoes are not permitted. Our dress code reflects the VIP status of The Royal Gallery that regularly plays host to guests including British Royalty, foreign Heads of State, and senior politicians, and military personnel. Whilst the Royal Gallery is under cover, it is open to the front, so we ask that you bring a warm layer should the evening be a chilly one, which has been known in Scotland, even in August! Tartan blankets are provided.
This is a mixed dining experience and guests will be seated at shared tables for dinner. This venue can also be booked privately for 40 - 50 guests.
