TV: Some performances will be filmed for broadcast. By attending an event, ticketholders consent to filming (including CCTV), photography and sound recording of themselves as members of the audience.

AD: Anyone requiring Personal Audio Description equipment and/or a Touch tour should contact the Tattoo Box Office for further details. This is available at select performances only, and all equipment is subject to availability.

BSL: Anyone wishing to attend a British Sign Language performance should contact the Tattoo Box Office for further details. This is available at select performances only, and is subject to availability.

    • Each performance will run for approx. 90 minutes. Pyrotechnic special effects, lasers, smoke/haze effects and strobe lighting will be used during the performances.
    • VIP seats in The Royal Gallery include an exclusive Tattoo gift.
    • Premier seats have a padded seat and backrest. The price includes fast-track access and an official Souvenir Programme.
    • Children aged three years and under are admitted free of charge provided they remain seated on an adult’s lap.

Venue Information

Bags

Small backpacks and bags are permitted, however bags over A3 size will not be allowed into the venue.

Toilets

Toilets, including accessible toilets, are available inside the arena on ground level. A Changing Places Toilet (CPT) is also available.

Clothing

We advise that you dress appropriately for the forecasted weather conditions and bring a warm and waterproof layer of clothing if necessary.

Drinks

You will be able to buy food and drinks at the venue. Details about these options will be shared closer to the time of the event.

No umbrellas

Umbrellas are not permitted to be used in the arena.

No cans or glass bottles

Bottles (more than 750ml), cans or glass containers will not be permitted in the venue. Please note, containers under 750ml will only be permitted if they are unopened.

No flash photography

Photographs and videos (of less than two minutes) may be taken but should not be used for purposes of commercial gain. The use of tripods and monopods, and flash photography are forbidden.

No alcohol

Alcohol purchased outside the venue will not be permitted.

Hot food

No hot food purchased outside the arena will be permitted.

No sharp objects

Any item which may be interpreted as a potential weapon including sharp or pointed objects (eg.knives) will not be permitted in the venue.

No laser pens

Laser pens will not be permitted in the venue.

No illegal substances

Illegal substances will not be permitted in the venue.

No smoking or vaping

Smoking, or vaping, is not permitted within the venue.

No parking

Parking is not available at the venue. Edinburgh Council has more information about parking in the city centre.

Assistance dogs

Assistance dogs can only be accommodated in the accessible seating area at the front of Sections 1-4 or 12-17. Please contact the Box Office on +44 (0)131 225 1188 to arrange suitable seating.

Wheelchair access

Wheelchair accessible seating is available and is shown on our seating plan.

Hearing difficulties

A Personal PA System (Neckloop Induction Coil for use with hearing aids equipped with a 'T' switch), is available for all performances. Anyone wishing to access this facility should contact the Tattoo Office for further details, all equipment is subject to availability.

 

 

Vision impaired

Personal Audio Description equipment (AD) is available at select performances. Anyone wishing to access this facility should contact the Tattoo Office for further details. All equipment is subject to availability.

It is also possible to attend a Touch Tour ahead of the performance. 

British Sign Language (BSL)

A British Sign Language (BSL) interpreter may be available on select dates at the 2027 Show, to be visible alongside the action of the live event. The dates are yet to be confirmed. If you would like to register your interest to purchase tickets with access to a BSL interpreter, please email tickets@edintattoo.co.uk with the subject 'BSL enquiry' and our team will be in touch to assist you as soon as those performance dates are confirmed.
