The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo announced first "Group Friday Ticket"

Special tickets available for family friendly show on final Friday.

We've launched a new Group Ticket for our early show on Friday 26 August 2022.

The early Friday show, announced earlier this year, was added to the schedule to encourage a new generation of Tattoo goer. It’s a great opportunity for families to bring younger children along to enjoy the Tattoo and still get to bed at a reasonable time.  But, for anyone just hoping to give the Tattoo a go for the first time, the new Group Ticket ensures they too benefit from the packaged pricing.

This newly added show will take place this Friday 26 August beginning at 18:15. Groups will be able to take advantage of this special Group Ticket offer of 4 tickets for the price of 3 by visiting our website here, selecting the Friday 26 August 2022 18:15 performance and adding your chosen ‘4 for the price of 3’ tickets to your basket.

Jason Barrett, Chief Operating Officer of The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, said: “We are excited to announce our first ever Group Ticket today for the early Friday Show. It’s the same spectacular show but runs before the main performance at the earlier time of quarter past six in the evening. It gives our younger audience members the chance to see the Edinburgh Castle Esplanade come alive with the colour, music, and the word-class talent of our 900 performers in this year’s Show, Voices and makes for a special family occasion. There is something for everyone and we can’t wait to welcome an audience of all ages for another brilliant performance.”

This year’s show Voices sees a stunning musical and cultural showcases from performers from Mexico, The United States, Switzerland, Germany, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, alongside homegrown talent from the UK at the centre of it all. Families of all ages will witness a spectacular performance from the UK’s finest military musicians, the legendary musicianship of the Massed Pipes and Drums echoing across the Esplanade and the dazzling talent of the Tattoo Dancers and Tattoo Fiddlers.

Running until 27 August, the year’s Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo is a celebration of expression, giving a stage to performers and acts from around the globe to share their voice. Voices draws inspiration from people across the globe who, despite physical separation, continue to connect and share their voices creatively through spoken word, song, music, and dance – languages common to all.

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased here or on the phone on 0131 225 1188. (*The ‘4 for the price of 3’ offer only applies to tickets bought for Friday 26 August 18:15 performance.)
