Historic Flypasts Announced for our 75th Anniversary Show

Mark your calendars. Our historic Flypasts for the Tattoo have been confirmed for this year’s Heroes Who Made Us Show.
What is the connection between the Tattoo and Flyovers?
Morale was low. Many had lost loved ones and were rebuilding their lives in the aftermath of World War II.
For that reason, the Tattoo was born to lift the spirits of the people within our communities. Over our 75-year history, Flypasts have played a vital role in the Show to honour the armed forces who selflessly sacrificed their lives for our country.
We have featured a range of aircraft to maintain this much-loved part of our military heritage, such as Typhoon jets, helicopters, large cargo planes, and of course, the famous Red Arrows. This tradition is a part of who we are - it’s in our DNA. It’s about celebrating the armed forces who helped shape our country, and the servicemen and women who continue to do so.
This is what drives us as a charity and motivates us to keep the iconic Flypasts gliding across the sky as a reminder of The Heroes Who Made Us.
We were born from the spirit of post-war celebration, and that legacy continues to inspire everything we do. The Flypasts are a demonstration of the Tattoo’s support and commitment to UK’s defence forces and are a cherished tradition and a much-loved highlight of our Show – stirring pride and joy in equal measure. This year, as we mark our 75th anniversary, we are honoured to welcome aircraft from both the RAF and the Army. As we turn our eyes to the sky, we're reminded of the extraordinary dedication of our armed forces — at home and around the world.
