Cultures come together as Tattoo cast warm up

The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo Dancers and performers from the New Zealand Army Band came together for an impromptu rehearsal, bringing together Maori and Highland cultures, at Edinburgh’s Calton Hill this morning.

Demonstrating the ceremonial traditions of the Haka and showcasing the athleticism of Highland Dancing, the Tattoo Dancers and New Zealand Army Band thrilled both locals and tourists who can usually find them performing on the Edinburgh Castle Esplanade in August.

Running until 27 August, this year’s Tattoo, Voices, on the Edinburgh Castle Esplanade is a celebration of expression, giving a stage to performers and acts from around the globe to share their voice. Limited tickets are still available and can be purchased here or on the phone on +44 (0) 131 225 1188.
