Working Hours

The normal working week is 35 hours between 0900-1700 Monday to Friday. However, in the immediate lead up to and during the event period (July-August) the successful candidate may be required to work out with these times.

Job Purpose Summary

This full-time permanent position is to assist the IT Manager in ensuring the smooth running of internal computer systems, providing first-line IT support and IT/data administrative duties to both a core and seasonal Tattoo team.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

IT Support

  • Maintain IT support logging procedures
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems
  • Diagnose hardware/software faults
  • Provide first-line IT support
  • Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
  • Liaise with external IT support providers
  • Manage Support email account and ticketing system
  • Document the outcome of support calls/emails to facilitate the resolution of common queries
  • CRM/Data management support and administration.

Business Technology

  • Produce and maintain IT procedural documentation
  • Compile and maintain an accurate inventory of computer hardware (including mobile phones) and software
  • Install new computer hardware/software
  • Report hardware faults to external companies
  • Set up user accounts, permissions and passwords
  • Assist in the co-ordination and implementation of website updates
  • Undertake the day-to-day backup systems
  • Assist in the implementation of IT developments
  • Manage Telephone system

Event Related Duties

  • Assist with the security pass system for access across Tattoo venues
  • Assist in the set-up of CCTV, internet and Wi-Fi connections, TV loops and liaise with other parties
  • On call support out of hours during events

Essential Criteria

  • Excellent IT skills together with a working knowledge of Microsoft and Office 365 Suite
  • Knowledge of the Windows operating system
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and without supervision
  • Experience in an IT support environment
  • Genuine enthusiasm and a flexible attitude

Desirable Criteria

  • Qualification in computer science or IT technology
