Massed Military Bands – Royal Air Force
Led by Principal Director of Music (RAF) Wing Commander Richard Murray, and Senior Drum Major (RAF) Warrant Officer Paul Phelan MVO, the Massed Bands of the Royal Air Force are comprised of the Central Band of the Royal Air Force, the Band of the Royal Air Force College, the Band of the Royal Air Force Regiment, and members of the Band of the Royal Auxiliary Air Force. Musicians from all bands along with the Royal Air Force Salon Orchestra will form the stage band.

Through recordings, broadcasts and live performances, the Army Band Koblenz brings the sound of German military music to audiences around the world. They have answered the call to bring this music and culture to The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.

Established in 1946, The United States Army Field serves as the premier musical ambassador for the U.S. Army. Its highly skilled members are all active-duty Soldiers, blending military service with elite performance artistry.

Founded in 1950, the same year as the Tattoo, the Qatar Police Academy Band and Drill Team come together in Edinburgh to create a shared spectacle of sound, precision, and collective energy.

Made up of bagpipes, highland drumming, fiddle playing and highland dancing, The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo Performers take to the stage to showcase the very best of Scottish traditional art forms, uniting audiences at home in Edinburgh and across the world.

Every piper and drummer in the QOGLR Pipes and Drums is a Gurkha from Nepal. Before ever lifting an instrument in public, each completes nine months of demanding infantry training at Catterick, forging the soldierly foundations that define the Regiment.

The Royal Irish Regiment was formed in 1992 through the amalgamation of The Royal Irish Rangers and The Ulster Defence Regiment, combining two proud traditions into a single unit built on fighting spirit, heritage, and Irish character. As the only Irish infantry regiment of the line in the British Army, it takes immense pride in its unique history and distinguished service.
