2013 saw over 1000 musicians and performers take to the Esplanade of Edinburgh Castle in a showstopping spectacular.

The Year of Natural Scotland was the theme of the 2013 Tattoo with military bands from around the globe waiting to take you on an experience of a lifetime.

2013's spectacular sights and sounds

The 2013 Tattoo proudly welcomed the sensational Monumental de Mexico Marching Band who - clad in studded charro outfits complete with wide brimmed sombreros - filled the Esplanade with the spectacular sight and sounds of Mariachi music.  

Traditional favourites such as the Massed Pipes and Drums, Band of The Irish Guards, The Royal Logistic Corps and its Corps of Drums along with The Band and Bugles of The Rifles.

The 2013 Tattoo also welcomed the return of one of the world's finest marching bands - The New Zealand Army Band - who brought their unique style and flair all the way from the Southern Hemisphere.
