Tattoo on tour

Hjaltibonhoga represents the finest in Scotland’s fiddle tradition. All from the spiritual home of the fiddle, Shetland. As the United Kingdom’s most northerly region, the Islands have a unique identity. Taking immense pride in their local community. Hjaltibonhoga first performed at The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo in 2014. They have become an integral part of us ever since.

Beyond the Tattoo

Hjaltibonhoga means ‘Shetland, my spiritual home’. Alongside, the Tattoo Dance Company and Pipers Trail, Hjaltibonhoga has been developed to encourage and promote traditional Scottish art forms. Ensuring these cultural identities are shared internationally. Passing on skills and traditions across the generations.
