Half Price Tickets for 2016 Preview
The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo has released a limited number of half-price tickets for its annual preview performance. Tickets go on sale on Monday, 25 July at 10am and will give spectators the chance to have a first look at this year’s show which celebrates Tunes of Glory.
The preview, which takes place on Thursday, 4 August at 9.30pm, will see performers from across the world coming together for the very first time on Edinburgh Castle’s famous Esplanade. Members of the media will also be in attendance and will have access to the Esplanade during the performance, capturing the first sight of the spectacle.
Brigadier David Allfrey, Chief Executive and Producer of The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, said: “The excitement for the Tattoo is building and this is a tremendous opportunity for locals and visitors in Edinburgh to have first sight of this year’s incredible cast. We will be showcasing the production for the world’s media and the buzz and atmosphere will be second to none.”
“For the last 17 years consecutively the Tattoo has sold out. While this is remarkable, I am very keen to remind everyone in Edinburgh, and indeed in Scotland, that if they want to see the show, which is different every year, regardless of the notice, they should try the Box Office any time before the Opening Fanfare each evening! Resale tickets are often available, even at the last minute.”
This year’s spectacular 100-minute production will feature an incredible line up of entertainment from far and wide as well as home-grown favourites from the UK’s military.
Preview performance tickets are only available by telephone on 0131 225 1188, online at www.edintattoo.co.uk or counter bookings at the Tattoo offices. Tickets are available for half the normal price, with prices ranging from £12.50 to £60.00.
