The Edinburgh Military Tattoo in collaboration with Scottish-based outdoor equipment supplier, Outdoor Explorer, and webcam solutions provider, CamVista, will webcast the entire 24-performance run of this month's (6-28 August) Military spectacular on the Internet.
From 9.00pm tonight (Friday, August 6th), live images of this year's Tattoo - featuring musicians from Africa, North America, Asia, Australia and Europe - will be broadcast over the world-wide web and may be accessed through the Tattoo's web site at www.edintattoo.co.uk
The webcam, which is strategically positioned atop the box complex on the east stand of the Esplanade of Edinburgh Castle, is set to transmit frequently updated images every few seconds. This will provide spectacular views of both Edinburgh Castle and the Tattoo performances each evening .
Tattoo Chief Executive & Producer, Brigadier Melville Jameson, said "We are delighted to have this opportunity to invite Internet viewers from around the world to join us online for the 55th Edinburgh Tattoo."
This live broadcast will provide observers with a unique keyhole to one of the leading components of Edinburgh's summer festivals, while bringing a traditionally sold-out event to interested viewers and enthusiasts worldwide.
