Edinburgh's Lord Provost to Welcome Cape Girardeau's Golden Eagles
Ahead of their eagerly anticipated appearance at this summer’s showpiece Edinburgh Military Tattoo, 100 musicians from Southeast Missouri State University Marching Band, The Golden Eagles, will gather, in full ceremonial attire, at Edinburgh’s City Chambers Quadrangle, to honour the Scottish Capital’s first citizen, Lord Provost George Grubb, at 11.00am on Monday, 28 July.
Lord Provost Grubb, Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant of Edinburgh and Chair of the Board of the Edinburgh Military Tattoo, will that morning experience a little something of the flavour of the Golden Eagles irresistible mix of music and percussion, for which they are famed.
This elite collegiate band will bring a touch of pizzazz to proceedings as well as providing an early glimpse of what is likely to be one of next month’s star-turns at the 59th Edinburgh Tattoo (1-23 August).
Also in attendance on Monday will be amazing multi-instrumentalist Rob Davis, who uniquely plays ten musical instruments to concert orchestra standard.
You are cordially invited to record this latest stage in the build up for the 2008 Tattoo.
