Captivating 2003 Tattoo Released On Video and DVD

This week sees the release of a new DVD and Video recording of highlights from this year's record-breaking 54th Edinburgh Tattoo.

With extraordinary exclusive footage not shown on TV and unprecedented behind-the-scenes access providing further previously unreleased material for the DVD, this impressive 90-minute programme captures the spectacular music and action from the Tattoo's most successful ever season.

An additional 20-minutes of never-before-seen bonus material is carried on the DVD where intimate preparations of some of the most demanding displays staged at the Tattoo are revealed alongside the stirring sights, sounds and music of an event probably unrivalled anywhere else in the world.

Featuring numerous bands from home and abroad, including the world-famous Massed Pipes & Drums, Switzerland's Top Secret Drum Corps and The Band of The Bermuda Regiment and Gombey Dancers, simply sets the scene for an inspiring showcase of one of Scotland's most loved events which this new recording readily encapsulates. It also features musical favourites such as Scots Wha Hae, Auld Lang Syne and the acclaimed Conquest of Paradise from Ridley Scott's epic Hollywood movie '1492' by Greek composer, Vangelis.

Coverage of this spectacular show was recorded by the BBC and includes the voice of famous Scottish actor and narrator, Tom Fleming while West Linton-based film production company, Electric Picture Machine, produced the extra material for the DVD.
